The hosts South Africa have ended the series against England on a high note as they defeated the tourists by 280 runs in the fourth test match by bowling out the English side for 101 while chasing 382, as Kagiso Rabada showed phenomenal performance and picked up 13 wickets.
England had started the last day of the match at 52/3 as they needed 330 runs to win and draw looked like their only chance to save the match. South Africa started the day with spinner Dane Piedt who gave chance in the second over but it was dropped by the keeper.
But still hosts did not have to wait much as Morne Morkel struck in the third over and James Taylor was caught by Quinton De Kock. Three balls later Piedt also got a wicket as Joe Root was caught in the slip by Dean Elgar after scoring 20.
Jonny Bairstow and Ben Stokes had a 25 runs partnership for the sixth wicket but it was ended by Kagiso Rabada who got his third wicket of the innings. In the next over Morkel got his third wicket of the innings as Ben Stokes was caught by captain Cook.
South Africans had to wait only 3 more overs for the eighth wicket as Rabada dismissed Chris Woakes to get his fourth of the innings. In his next over Rabada dismissed Stuart Broad and James Anderson on back to back deliveries to complete the win for his side.
