The senior player of Pakistani team Muhammad Hafeez, who had refused to attend the training camp after Muhammad Amir inclusion, came to help the fast bowler when he was in trouble as some New Zealand spectators in the crowd were making fun of him.
Hafeez had also refused to play alongside Amir in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) but when it came to national side, former T20 captain was quick to support his team-mate as he went to the umpire to complain about the mischievous spectators.
Amir was fielding near boundary when those spectators showed his money and laughed, as Amir was caught for spot fixing 5 years back and was banned for 5 years. But he showed impressive performance in the domestic cricket and BPL to earn his place back.
The left-arm bowler took 3 wickets in the first One-Day International (ODI) against New Zealand and limped off the ground after getting injured, but Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Shaharyar Khan had no reservations with Amir and was satisfied with his performance.
