The fast bowler Tendai Chatara has been out of the team for a long time due to an injury but he is back in the squad. He had got injured almost 9 months back and started playing competitive cricket at the start of the year. He has 7 wickets in 7 T20 International matches.
Zimbabwe have got some experienced players in the middle-order Sean Williams, Sikandar Raza Butt and Elton Chigumbura who will be carrying the hopes of the team. Their recent performances have not been too good so they will have to step up and win for their side.
Afghanistan side is also in Zimbabwe's group in the qualifying stage, who had beaten Zimbabwe 3-2 in One-Day International Series (ODI) and 2-0 in T20 series in Zimbabwe. The scoreline was exactly the same in both ODI and T20 International series when they met in UAE.
Chamu Chibhabha has been a regular part of the Zimbabwean team for some time but he has been dropped. They had tied the series 2-2 against Bangladesh in Bangladesh so they will have some motivation ahead of the qualifying tournament which will be held from 8 March.
