The Capricorn Commanders have got their second win of the Masters Champions League (MCL) as they gave the fourth consecutive loss to the Libra Legends as Paul Collingwood and Andrew Symonds scored fifties and had a match winning 110 runs partnership.
Libra Legends had lost first three games but this time they won the toss and elected to bat first. Former South African legendary all-rounder Captain Jacques Kallis led from the front and scored a fifty to have a big opening partnership with Engand's Michael Lumb.
Their opening partnership was 87 runs off 60 balls before Lumb got out after scoring 52 runs off 36 balls. Jacques Kallis scored 54 off 42 balls as he hit 3 sixes and 4 fours. But batsmen after them could not do much and only Taufiq Umar entered double figures.
New Zealand's Jeetan Patel took 3 wickets whereas Sri Lanka's Upul Chandana took 2 wickets as they restricted the Libra to 154/7 in 20 overs. But in reply Capricorn also lost first wicket in the fourth over as Ashwell Prince got out after scoring 14 runs.
Canada's Rizwan Cheema also departed after scoring 11 but Symonds kept going. The Australian had a great partnership with the former English Captain Paul Collingwood as both of them scored 62 runs each. Symonds faced 44 balls and Collingwood faced 39 balls as they reached target with 22 balls to spare.
