Indian Cricket Team has completed the whitewash against Australia in the T20 series and took perfect revenge of the ODI series loss as they won the last game in a thrilling encounter which was decided off the last ball as they chased 197 runs target.
Australians were without their regular top 3 batsmen as their captain Aaron Finch was injured and Steven Smith, David Warner had to fly to New Zealand. But their stand in captain Shane Watson was also lucky and won the toss, so he decided to bat first.
The left-hander Usman Khawaja, who is in terrific form, was given a chance and he started well but could only score 14 off 6 balls. Shane Watson kept going and although none of the other batsmen scored more than 30, he took the team total near 200 alone.
Watson hit 6 sixes and 10 fours as he scored 124 and achieved highest score by an Australian in an International T20 innings. Australia finished on 197/5 in 20 overs but Indian batsmen are in form of their life and once again they were off to a flying start.
Shikhar Dhawan scored 26 off 9 balls, Rohit Sharma scored 52 off 38 balls whereas Virat Kohli scored third successive fifty of the series as he contributed 50 runs off 36 balls. Suresh Raina and Yuvraj Singh also did not disappoint as they scored 49 and 15 respectively and scored 19 off the last over to win the game off the last ball.
