The 15-man England Cricket Team squad has been named for the World T20 Championship which will be played in India as there will be 3 spinners in the team considering the conditions of sub-continent, and the surprise inclusion is uncapped Liam Dawson who impressed for England Lions.
The former captain of the English T20 team Stuart Broad has not been included even though there were chances that he would be back. He has not played for English team in the shortest format since the 2014 World T20 in Bangladesh where they were knocked out in the first round.
The English team selector James Whitaker said that Dawson has been picked after good performances in the domestic cricket and for England Lions in the series against Pakistan A team in United Arab Emirates (UAE) where he has taken 4 wickets in 5 T20 games.
Stuart Finn, who has been suffering due to fitness problems for a while, has also been included in the team. Finn had taken 4 wickets against Pakistan A in UAE before getting a call for the series against South Africa. He has 27 wickets in 21 International T20 games.
Two more batsmen James Vince and Sam Billings who have been playing in the Asian conditions in UAE have also been included in the team. Moeen Ali and Adil Rashid are other two spinners who will be useful in conditions and can bat as well.
