South African team has comeback from 0-2 down to level the series 2-2 and make the last game decider as they edged the English side in a thrilling encounter at New Wanderers Stadium, Johannesburg as the hosts needed 53 runs with two wickets left but won the game by 1 wicket.
South Africa won the toss and chose to field first as they got Jason Roy's wicket early again, who scored just 6 runs. Once again Joe Root and Alex Hales had a fifty plus partnership as Hales scored fourth consecutive fifty in the series. He was dismissed by Imran Tahir after scoring 50.
England were 87/1 but the had a batting collapse and lost 5 wickets for just 21 runs. But Chris Woakes and Root had a partnership to help them get past 200. Root scored second century of the series and eighth of his career as he top scored with 109 runs off 124 balls.
Woakes scored 33 and at the end Adil Rashid played a brilliant cameo of 39 off 25 balls to help them score 262. Kagiso Rabada took 4 wickets whereas Imran Tahir took 3. In reply Hashim Amla, who scored century in the last game, was dismissed for a duck.
After that none of their next 6 batsmen scored more than 40 but none of them scored less than 20. They were 210/8 in 41.3 overs as they needed 53 and Chris Morris played a brilliant knock of 62 off 38 balls by hitting 4 sixes to level the score. Morris got out when they needed 1 run but Imran Tahir hit a 4 to level the series.
