The Indian Cricket Team has sealed the T20 series against Australia by winning the second game by 27 runs at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) as Australia started the chase aggressively but they were stopped by Indian spinners Ashwin and Jadeja once again.
Australia had lost the first game after fielding first but their captain Aaron Finch decided to field first again as they rested their top batsmen David Warner and Steven Smith. Indian openers Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma got off to a great start as they had 97 runs partnership.
The stand was broken when Maxwell got the wicket of Dhawan, after he scored 42 runs off 32 balls. After him Virat Kohli joined Sharma, who had scored fifty in the first game. They had 46 runs second wicket partnership before Sharma got out after scoring 60 off 47 balls.
Kohli stayed on the crease till the end and scored 59 off 33 balls as India finished 184/3 in 20 overs. Australian openers Aaron Finch and Shaun Marsh gave their side a good start as they had an opening partnership of 94 off 59 balls but then Indian spinners came to stop them.
Marsh got out after scoring 23 off 23 balls and in next two overs two more wickets went down. In the 15th and 16th over Shane Watson and Aaron Finch were dismissed which ended Australia's hopes. Finch was top scorer with 74 as Australia scored only 157/8 in 20 overs.
